Pearson was formed in 1998 from the merger of leading publishers Addison Wesley Longman New Zealand and Prentice Hall New Zealand.

Higher Education

Pearson's Higher Education division is a driving force in tertiary publishing. We support tertiary institutions in New Zealand with the largest and most specialised sales, editorial and marketing teams in the industry.

Schools

Schools consists of Primary and Secondary divisions. Each division publishes under the Longman imprint, one of the most well-respected and well-recognised names in the schools market. The divisions publish a wide range of high-quality innovative resources that cater for school needs and assist with the implementation of the curriculum.

Primary

The Primary division publishes resources for students and teachers in the early, middle and upper primary years, principally in the areas of Mathematics, Science, Spelling and Technology. It also markets an exciting range of resources for teachers and students, developed by our sister companies around the world.

Secondary

The Secondary division publishes a broad range of resources across most curriculum areas, with particular strengths in Mathematics, Social Studies and Science. The focus is on core texts and Write-on resources.
