This set, the fourth in the series, provides students with learning experiences focussing on geometry and measurement, along with the opportunity to use statistical displays for recording results of enquiries. The programme covers Mathematics in the New Zealand Curriculum Level 1 and into Level 2 emphasising Geometry, Measurement and Statistics.

Individual and Group Task Cards

This box set contains 40 Task Cards and a CD with 40 Activity Sheets. The front of each card presents practical activities for students to complete. On the reverse are notes that give the concept, vocabulary to be developed, examples of questions to ask, and suggestions on how to extend the activity. The Activity Sheets on the CD provide a recorded activity around the same concept, or act as recording sheets for the practical activity, or are a suggested extension activity given on the Task Card.

Teachers’ Guide

Teachers’ notes are included on the CD along with the Independent Activity Sheets. The guide is linked to the Level 1 Teachers’ Guide to provide all the tools needed to plan a Mathematics programme that meets the needs of all students.
