Workshop Sessions

Teaching Maths at Levels 1 - 2 will focus on the importance of a sound knowledge base: Basic Facts, Sequencing and Place Value and the importance of the other strands.
Teaching Maths at Levels 2 – 3 will focus on the importance of understanding and using place value (additive and early multiplicative strategies) and learning multiplication facts and how this impacts on the other strands.
Teaching Maths at Levels 3 – 4 will focus on developing multiplicative ideas, making sense of fractions and decimals and tying it all together with the other strands to be numerate.
