Atlas Aotearoa is a resource atlas for social studies students.
Each map has been carefully designed to provide students with easy-to-understand information on a range of topics in the settings of New Zealand, the Pacific, and the World. The thematic approach and visually appealing presentation create a high-interest resource that will stimulate enthusiasm for learning about New Zealand and the settings of New Zealand, the Pacific, and the World.

Teachers will find a wealth of information that can form the basis for many classroom activities. The maps and information can also be used to extend topics already being studied within an existing teaching programme.

Global Issues Atlas
Intended as a follow-on text to Atlas Aotearoa, Global Issues Atlas is an ideal resource for topics on global issues in both the junior and senior Social Studies programmes. There are two activity books available, one at Level 5, and the other at Level 6.
Penny Rowland and Stuart Ward both teach at Okaihau College in the Bay of Islands, Northland. Penny teaches geography and social studies; Stuart is one of the Deputy Principals and also teaches social studies.
Jacinda Andrews teaches geography and social studies at Auckland Girls’ Grammar School.
All the maps were prepared specifically for this atlas by Jonette Surridge. She is a cartographer with her own mapping company, Graphic Maps, in Auckland. She is currently working in London for The Crown Estate as Spatial Data and Cartographic Manager on a special Geographic Information project.
